The new building built alongside the existing terminal, which was demolished at the end of the contract, was constructed whilst maintaining passenger flow. The building also contains modern offices and facilities for the airport operators, police, security and other airport staff. The staff and public are protected from the elements by airsid covered walkways leading from the terminal building to all the main aircraft stands. The new aircraft standing areas were constructed from PQ concrete bays. |
